Oxbo 3159 Header Features

Innovative Design
The Oxbo 3159 header utilizes an aggressive orienting belt which leads the reel into the unharvested crop. The task for this belt is to properly align the plants for efficient stripping. Oxbo pioneered the concept of adjusting the angle of this belt to the crop, as well as raising and lowering the concave hood, hydraulically from the comfort of the cab.

Dependable Design
A 16 bar, closed reel is used, featuring rubber mounted picking fingers. A larger diameter finger is used compared to competitive machines, resulting in longer wear-life. The 159-inch picking width has proven beneficial, especially when effectively harvesting five rows of narrow planted green beans in heavy foliage. Down pressure is constantly applied and adjusted from the cab to quickly respond to changing field conditions and to maintain ground roller contact with the soil.

Easy Adjustment
An efficient hydraulic system assures a constant reel and ground roller speed, which is crucial for good recovery. An automatic lubrication system is standard, and applies a fixed amount of lubricant to all bearings and chains. All adjustments are easily accessed, including reel height adjustment, cross auger or belt speed, and ground roller speeds. The 3159 can be readily mounted on Oxbo harvesters to provide improved recovery, lower amounts of cull material and diminished mechanical damage.
