Korvan Vineyard Mechanization

Oxbo brings a full line of Korvan equipment to the vineyard. The Korvan system brings true, year-round, mechanical solutions to the vineyard. The line has been designed to allow you the ability to adopt some level of vineyard mechanization today and then add other tools or parctices later on, as they make sense to you.

Shoot Thinners
Shoot thinning by machine is the natural companion to the precision box pruning performed during dormant season. Korvan shoot thinning helps you achieve proper shoot densities and crop levels on your terms. You set the target, you get the target, mechanically. Korvan currently offers mechanical shoot thinners in two configurations, one for VSP and/or open-top GDC or quad-style systems and another rotary style unit for use in low clearance quad-style systems where foliage wires cannot be moved out of the way. Shoot thinning fingers ensure adequate shoot and cluster removal with a gentle touch on spurs, arms and cordons.

Cordon Brushes
Korvan cordon brushes and trunk cleaners virtually eliminate the need for hand suckering of unwanted shoots from the underside of the cordon area as well as along the vine trunks. Korvan offers several attachments for this purpose, including a full row wrap-around unit for simultaneous upper trunk and cordon underside cleaning of VSP and sprawl type training systems, a single-sided cordon brush for quadrilateral systems, and a horizontal shaft, lower trunk cleaner for effective shoot removal down at ground level.

Leaf Removers
Korvan leaf removers allow you to selectively alter the pattern and intensity of light exposure to your developing fruit. They assist in better spray application and air circulation within the fruit zone. Sold in pairs, these heads can be operated independently or simultaneously, depending on your leaf removal needs. Our leaf removers are gentle on fruit and feature built-in adjustability to let you decide how aggressive you want to be. Each head also comes standard with a double acting sickle bar at the leading edge for a clean, trim appearance.
